How do I scan a journal? Tap Scan and point your camera at a page — edges are detected and captured automatically. Open a book flat and InkReader splits the two-page spread into separate pages. Keep scanning; whole journals can be captured in one session.
A page didn't transcribe. Tap the retry button on that page's card (or “Retry all” if several failed). Transcription needs an internet connection.
A date is wrong or a page is out of order. Open the journal → Scans tab → “Re-analyze dates”, or open a page and set its date by hand. The Read tab orders everything by entry date.
Where are my journals stored? On your device. Nothing is kept on our servers. Use the export button in any journal to save a PDF or text copy anywhere you like — we recommend keeping a backup.
How do I manage my subscription? Open the App Store app → tap your account → Subscriptions → InkReader, where you can change or cancel. Cancelling at least 24 hours before renewal stops the next charge.
How private is transcription? A page image is sent securely for transcription, converted to text, and discarded — never stored on our servers, never used to train AI. See the Privacy Policy for details.
