Dirtstack (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is published by Ventiq LLC. Dirtstack is business software for excavation and site work contractors: jobs, crew and equipment schedules, daily logs and job costs. This policy explains what information the app and the Dirtstack service handle and why.
Dirtstack is used by companies. Your company controls the information its people put in, and we handle it to run the service for them. We don’t sell personal information, we don’t use it for advertising, and the app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs. Voice is turned into text on your phone — we never receive the audio.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos library, health data, browsing history or advertising identifiers.
When you tap the microphone, your phone’s built-in speech recognition (Apple or Google) turns what you say into text — on the device when your phone supports it. Only the resulting text is sent to Dirtstack, as part of the log you save. We don’t receive or store audio recordings.
So the app works without a signal, it keeps a copy of your recent jobs, schedule and tasks, and any logs waiting to send, in the app’s private storage on your phone. Your sign-in session is kept in the phone’s secure keychain. Signing out deletes this data from the phone.
Only service providers that help us run Dirtstack, under data-protection terms: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI features), Stripe (company subscriptions, handled on the website), Expo (delivering push notifications) and our email delivery provider. Inside your company’s account, coworkers see information according to the role your company gives them — for example, foremen never see dollar amounts. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect people’s safety.
Nothing is sold in the app. Companies subscribe on the Dirtstack website, where payments are processed by Stripe. We never see full card numbers.
Company data is kept while the company’s account is active, and for up to 60 days after it ends so it can be restored or exported; then it’s deleted, with backups rolling off within a further 30 days. If you delete your account in the app, your login is removed immediately; logs and notes you added stay with your company’s job records, which your company controls.
Information is encrypted in transit and at rest, each company’s data is kept separate, and staff access is limited and logged. If a breach affects your information we’ll notify you as the law requires.
Dirtstack is a business app for adults and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date above and post the revised version at this URL.
